--- Big thanks to everyone who came out to see Chromeo DJ, it was nuts! We've got more like that planned for the future and we hope to see you all there.

Shane King & Morale, the duo otherwise known as the 'The Dirty Rotten', will be playing at Blow Up at The Rickshaw Stop this Friday, along with DJ Cat, Automatic Panic, & Richie Panic. Their first dirty rotten set since Outside Lands promises to be a killer, closing out the night. More info at BlowupSF.com

---- Saturday October 31st - Hacksaw's Halloween with Mixhell LIVE at Poleng

The party we've wanted to throw since we started this company. Mixhell must be seen to be believed - they combine hard electro with live heavy metal drumming by Igor Cavalera, the legendary founder of Sepultura. His wife, Laima Cavalera drops beats using turntables and MPC controllers, while Igor drums from the middle of the dancefloor. This Halloween show marks their live debut performance in San Francisco!

Since forming in 2006 Mixhell have linked up with heavy hitters like Soulwax, Justice, MSTRKRFT, Diplo, James Murphy and Busy P and have sold out out clubs in South America and Europe.

Get your advance tickets while they are still available for only $12 from going.com/Mixhell.

Watch a video of Mixhell live with drums.

It should go without saying you need to dress in costume for this party. Scarier the better, to fit with our Hacksaw/Mixhell theme. We are decorating Poleng in style, as well as bringing in a shitload of extra speakers and subwoofers to really get this going.

--- Hacksaw Entertainment presents - Neon Indian - Thursday November 19th

Neon Indian play their first ever San Francisco show on Thursday Nov 19th at The Rickshaw Stop.

The latest musical endeavor from 21-year-old Texas native Alan Palomo (of Vega), Neon Indian has a lo-fi psychedelic sound that makes you nostalgic for those hazy summer days. This comes as no surprise if you've heard their first single (which has been making its rounds on all the top music blogs) titled “Deadbeat Summer” (listen on youtube). An audio-visual amalgamation with high school friend and artist Alicia Scardetta, the project came to fruition after the pair missed a chance to take acid, urging Palomo to write the band’s first track “Should’ve Taken Acid with You”. Their debut album, Psychic Chasms was just rated 8.6 on Pitchfork alongside the 'Best New Music' tag.

The band kindly gave us a track to give away with our newsletter - download 'Terminally Chill' here if you don't have it already.

SOMA Magazine will be at the party giving out magazines for their November issue release..

The Love X Nowhere (TLXN) are a San Francisco based psychedelic-indie band who will be opening for Neon Indian. We also just added a VERY SPECIAL SURPRISE GUEST on the bill who we will announce on November 5th!

18+ 8pm-1am - (note this is earlier than our usual events) - Tickets ($10) are available now via Brown Paper Tickets. They are selling fast especially since the Pitchfork review....
